P.I.E. - Partners In Education

Partners in Education
A partner in Education, P.I.E., is a program that has been developed to link a community with its schools. This program helps build a support system between the schools and the job force. By working together, we can strengthen the schools current programs, improve student achievement and help build avenues and skills that students will need in the work force.

Partners with Benton
Benton is extremely fortunate to have some outstanding partners in Education. We are very thankful for our continuing support from Schneider Electric, Alarm Communication Center, and Wal-Mart Store #451. These partners have been amazing. They are continually donating time, supplies and funds to help support the students at Benton.

We are also overjoyed to announce that we have made some new Partners in Education.  Our partnership with these new partners will look a little different than it does with our current partners. Our new partners will be focusing on learning. We have partnered with Columbia Career Center, Columbia College and the University of Missouri. With our new partners, Benton’s students will have the opportunity to have more of a hands-on approach to learning.

Columbia Career Center – We have combined with Columbia Career Center to promote the early understanding of opportunities. The students from the Career Center and the students from Benton will work together to improve the drive for their future, that the younger students are lacking. Students from Benton will have to opportunity to go to the Career Center and observe, learn and interact with all of the occupational options available. Students from the Career Center will have the opportunity to come to Benton to teach students about what they do at the career center and why they chose that path for their future.

Columbia College and University of Missouri- Our partnership with Columbia College and the University of Missouri will be a partnership that will focus on the education of Benton’s staff and the education students. This program will focus on the continuing education of the teachers at Benton and the learning of the education students. Benton staff, Columbia College students and University of Missouri students will work together to enhance the education for all.
